Olivia has a broad range of experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of individuals presenting with a wide range of issues including; anxiety disorders, depression, life transition issues, grief and loss, psychosis and drug and alcohol related issues. She has a keen interest and experience in treating trauma reactions including post-traumatic stress disorder. Further, Olivia has conducted Master’s level research on factors influencing childhood depression.
Olivia is trained in the delivery of evidence-based treatments that are supported by empirical research. Her therapy techniques have a focus on cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and an emphasis on positive psychology and enhancing client strengths in order to improve well-being. Olivia is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma reactions. Olivia aims to assist clients to work towards set goals, reduce psychological distress and enhance satisfaction with life and sense of well being.
Olivia is a registered clinical psychologist, full member of the Australian Psychological Society and member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. Over the past 7 years, Olivia has been committed to providing specialist psychological services to adolescents and adults in both the public mental health system and in private practice.
