Born and educated in Australia, Geeta is a registered Clinical Psychologist and Member of the Australian Psychological Society and Clinical College. Over the past decade. Geeta has provided individualised assessment, diagnosis and treatment to individuals and couples, and to both adolescents and adults, working with a wide range of psychological issues.

Geeta has worked for public hospitals including Box Hill Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital, and non-government organizations as well as in private practice. Geeta has provided specialist consultation and training services to healthcare organisations across Melbourne. Geeta also has international publications on the impact of antidepressants on cognitive performance and male and female body image.

With warmth and professionalism, Geeta works collaboratively with you to gain a greater understanding of your difficulties, develop new skills, and to identify and draw upon your strengths. She will work with you to achieve your personal goals, and offers treatments that increase self-confidence and improve quality of life.  She delivers treatments that address a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, work and study stress, grief and loss, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. Geeta also has extensive clinical experience working with complex mental health issues including Major Depression, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Psychosis, Trauma and Anxiety disorders.

Geeta offers evidence-based treatment supported by the latest empirical research. Primary therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focused Therapy.
